![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: AutoBild: Future BMW X models. I was talking about these CGIs: ![]() IMO this is very close to the final design. Why? These CGIs were published on 9/9/2005 - only few days before BMW presented a bunch of future models to senior management. Among those products there were two different X6 design proposals. One more SUV-ish, other more Coupe-ish. Later the coupe-ish variant was chosen. Let's get back to the CGIs: the interesting issue here is that history shows these CGIs just exceed AMS abilities of making CGIs. They could never created so original, so detailed, so daring CGI. So my theory (and not only my) is that AMS got some sketches or photos from preparation center (where models for presentation were at work) of the winning design proposal - and then they made those CGIs. To look less exposed they based them on M6. Just to show you how lame are typical AMS CGIs, and how special these red M6 based are: - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Also the these red CGIs are very close to the final design Scott has described - and I got similar description from another source. So, expect something more "VW Concept A-ish". Last edited by Harry Plopper; 03-08-2006 at 08:06 PM.. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: AutoBild: Future BMW X models. Yeh, that's the PS i was talking about as well. What im worried about is how radical that PS looks. Both the front and rear aren't cohesive at all...and don't really match with BMW's design philosophy because this is just over the top...whereas the current line up have that flame surfacing style, but aren't as 'out there' as this PS. I hope that the actual X6 won't be as drastic... but it is still only a PS, and still a while till the X6 comes out...so I'm not going to worry too much as yet. |

But expect X6 (or whatever it will be named) to be radical in shape. Read my posts in this thread where we discuss X6 / X-Sport: http://www.germancarzone.com/showthread.php?t=2352 | |
