Audi to invest 10.8 bln eur in 2005-2010

INGOLSTADT, Germany (AFX) - Volkswagen AG unit Audi AG said it plans to invest 10.8 bln eur in 2005-2010 in developing new models and optimising production facilities, with about 1.4 bln of investment to be made this year.

It said its investments will increase annually to between 1.4 bln eur and nearly 2 bln from next year, reaching almost 2 bln in 2007.

The company plans to launch six new models in the next three years in a push towards its goal of selling one million units by 2008/2009.

Sales in the Audi brand stood at 779,441 vehicles last year.

exciting, just had a convo w/ someone very knowlegable on cars, especially german cars, really turned me on to some things about Audi and where the brand is headed. can't wait for the new A4!

the 600 millions for SEAT are confirmed, or not?
