Re: Investors

there has been a lot of buzz about joost aka the venice project recently. i've been playing with it for about a month now and the content isn't all that great (maybe its just the content for Canada?). a tv replacement? no. but definitely a step in the right direction. they have 5th gear, sports illustrated swimsuit stuff, redbull tv, some not so funny cartoons, etc. i'd wait awhile before investing in this.

do you guys know any site of forum where stock are being discussed, predicted and such?
It's completely private and probably stays that way. I was so surprised to read about you wanting to buy stock in it because I couldn't imagine it being public so early on. Unfortunately, my hunch was correct. The company can be very valuable. So many software, computer companies are trying to expand into home entertainment. They want to "control" your entire home entertainment centre. Joost could fit nicely.

Anyway, the forums that discuss stocks are full of spam and pump-and-dump schemes IMO. I try to stay away from those. However, I have picked up one or two mining company names from message boards like Yahoo! Finance.

Re: Investors

allright boys new predicton..
tomorrow at 20:00 CET the Fed Minute will take place..
my prediction is that the DJIA will react positive to this so heads up some time after 19:00 CET.. it will according to my prediction go plus 50 points atleast..
my real estimate is around 75 or even more..

so if you can buy before 19:00 tomorrow at a low rate when the DJIA is in the reds you should most likely come out with a profit at the end of the day..

Last time my prediction was right.. lets see what happens tomorrow..

NOTE: this is only a prediction.. i do not promise you this will happen..
all investments are at your own risk..

But for the fun of it..if you dont invest..just follow and see if im right

See you on the other side ciao..

Re: Investors

ive allready buyed

like ive told you i trade in spread betting.. its very high risk

i picked it up today at around 13500 and it closed at 13552 so im allready up 50points
if my prediction goes right i should gain 50 more after the fed minute tomorrow

so its really 100 points times the money you want to bet..
1 euro = 100 euro.. and so on..

but still there will be a chance to buy tomorrow before the fed minute..

PS
these are not some amature guess im devolping a system.. this is my first public predictions.. ile tell you more if its a sucess..

I was also puzzled when I read luw's prediction and conclusion about this company. Although it may be a great buy, if it were public, I would not purchase. I think a company needs to establish itself in some way or form and prove, that in the industry it is part of, it can perform.

As far as the forums that speculate so much on what stocks to buy, I ignore them as well. Many of those guys don't know what they are talking about. There was a lot of speculation on Dandreon (DNDN) about a prostate cancer medication that would extend your life by about 4 months. It was a very risky investment, and it proved to be a worthless one. I am sure many of them lost money once the news came in that the FDA was requiring more testing of the drug. Those messageboards are all speculative and don't really know what they are talking about. One thing is for sure, if they are right about a stock it will continue to go up. A good stock is good today, tomorrow, and a week from now. It is just how you want to invest, whether it be for the long run or short run. At this moment I have shares of Southwest (LUV). I have lost some money, but I am going to hold on. Based on the company structure, and what they provide, I beleive that they will come in strong for the next quarter. Analyst are downgrading it to underperform, but I believe it will give me a good return.

Re: Investors

Allright gentlemen its about that time now:

Now i told you yesterday about this predicion of mine wich said that the reaction of the fed minute on the market will be positive, and i told you that the rally will come after 20:00 CET wich is -6 hours from Eastern time.. so 14:00 ET..
now i also told you about the ammount of gain.. being conservative i told you 50point..

So this is how it went down today
The DJIA gained 112 points today (0.83%)
Opening at 13518 and closing at 13633
And as predicted the gain came after 14:00 check out the chart

He'll probably start of with an SLK 230 and work his way up to the Zonda.
