Now that you shown the Zonda in that photo you will make Artist buy a 360.

Those graphics are near perfect, the interior is amazing!

Seems like consoles may have finally overtaken PCs for good graphics!

The consoles may have overtaken PCs but at the rate PC hardware changes it won't take long for PCs to pass them by again. It happened very quickly when the PS2 and original Xbox came out.

Always the same arguments, every time a console comes out. It's even more important to remember who made the graphics technology for both the XBox 360 and PS3 - ATI and NVidia, respectively - and they'll no doubt use everything they've learnt in those to put into a PC graphics solution.

I wouldn't be surprised if perhaps even the current top-of-crop PC graphics cards could outstrip these consoles already. I don't know where they make more profit from, and I don't think they care - they're going to make more progress in the PC arena simply because they can - PC hardware is always changing, whilst console hardware specs must be largely 'frozen' once the first one is shipped.

Re: Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2006: PS3 screens (WOW!)

The PC gaming industry is finally getting its legs broken thanks to consoles that perform most of the things gamers are looking for. I think the success of the 360 will accelerate this, since there's bound to be more "PC-like" content available, as opposed to the PlayStation, which has a proclivity for Japano-kid titles.

Things like MMORPGs will keep gaming PCs on the map, but it's become more and more of a focused niche market. The hardware argument has become a competely moot point. High-end PCs will alwyas be pushing the better graphics, but the difference will be so slight that only technophiles will notice.

I still think that the PC is the best platform for first person shooters like Half-Life 2 and F.E.A.R. The keyboard and mouse interface is still far superior to the console controller for the precise control you need for aiming. Having played Call of Duty 2 on the Xbox 360 I found it harder to aim than playing F.E.A.R on the PC which I was playing at the same time.
