Favourite First Person Shooters?

You're favourite first person shooters? (aka 'FPS')

Mine...

Perfect Dark (N64)

Personally, the affect which Perfect Dark first gave me when it was released, has yet to fade away. As an overall FPS, it's miles above many. I don't care if it's now considered 'dated' and what-not, it still is an amazing game. I also recall it's multi-player mode equipped with bots and etc to be one of the first (if not the first) among consoles. Everything about this game kick ass; no surprise that it was rated 9.9 out of 10 by Gamespot.

Timesplitters 2 (XBOX)

After a boat-load of rumours about the possible release of a second Perfect Dark on the N64 console, TS2 came to the rescue. What's great about this FPS is that it pays proper homage to both Perfect Dark and Golden Eye (by further improving the dynamics) without a being a direct copy.

Timesplitters: Future Perfect (XBOX)

While this game was developed with many of the 'Free Radical' developers (who worked on the above two games), this game was published under the exclusive rights of Electronic Arts rather than 'Eidos' (or 'Rareware', with N64). As a result, there is most certainly an influence from EA in the development of the game and it's evident in the way it plays. It all feels less special and more common than TS2; Nevertheless, It's a game which I like very much.

The multi-player is off the hook; shame the single player campaign isn't..
