Well it's allways like this when a new console hits the earth. Those crazy ass fanboys will do anything to get their hands on a console before anyone else. In Japan people camped more more than a week just to get their hands on the PS2 first.

This happens with every console launch, since it is a very rare thing.
And this Ebay stuff is all BS; ....seller was hyping his own sale...and putting ludicrous bids on his own sale...0 feedback = bum bidder

i dont know theres a few with lots of feedback, but with almost $4K on the bid.

The wallmart I went to only had around 45, half and half of each type. And this is a small town so I'm very glad I got it. i can't even imagine what would happen if it was a big city. The thing is, from what I've heard, if you don't get it now, you won't be getting the Xbox until Jan? I went to the wallmart website and it said that if you didn't pre-order it by Oct 26, You probably won't get it until early-mid Jan. That's too long as Christmas break will be way too long.

1k for the Xbox, no thanks.

by my home there were people camping at Walmart for 36hrs, and there were only fifty pieces in total. Warot, can you get more?

its all part of microsofts marketing scheme. they are probably the ones inflating the actual prices on the market. people usually covet what they cannot have. i would be really surprised if someone was actually stupid enough to bid 10K for a console. if they had the money it was most likely from inheritence.

Everything is absolutely sold out. I only managed to get the Core system when I actually wanted the Premium, but I can't complain. All the Xboxs were sold out by 5pm on Monday. Some people were camping since Friday (I would never do that).

Unfortunately, I've heard this might be the last shipment for a few weeks to come.

Yep... i believe Dec.10th. Im not desperate for one, but i would like to get it.

I would never wait a day outside or inside a store for a game system. Crazy. Plus the weather has been terrible out here to sit outside and wait.

Seems like Microsoft really got one over Sony this time by being first to the market. Will the Sony system be enough of a marvel to make up for being second this time?
