Ouch. Looks like the TT faired better than the 911.

Well, the 911 has never had a motor up front to absob frontal impact, it's dependant upon the surrounding structures around the front to hold the front end up in a crash. The MK2 TT faired better because, obviously, it has en engine up front to absorb frontal impact.
