![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Quattro for your MK2 TT? I find the FWD 2.0T to probably be more than enough, thanks to the many positive reviews I've read for this configuration. The combination of the smaller engine and lack of driveline weight so typical of AWD, Audi has achieved a more neutral balance in the MK2 TT's handling. So what's your pick and take? ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Quattro for your MK2 TT? Thing is guys, the Quattro system in the TT is Haldex based. Meaning that 90% of the time (I'm pretty sure that's close to the correct figure, majority of the time) the car is in FWD mode, only under conditions where traction is lost do the rear wheels become active and under acceleration. So it's a FWD car w/ occasional AWD traction. I can only speak for myself but I'm not going to invest in something that's not the real deal. Had they engineered the asymmetrical torque split Quattro system for the new TT, that would be a different story. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Quattro for your MK2 TT? The front-wheel-drive Audi TT is so good, that I don't see the point of spending more money with the Quattro model. The front-wheel-drive Audi TT Coupé 2.0 TFSI with DSG went around the Top Gear test-track faster than the outgoing BMW M3 E46. Quite simply the fastest front-wheel-drive tested by The Stig around the TG track. Just give me a normal front-wheel-drive TT Coupé 2.0 Turbo FSI with DSG and with these wheels. ![]() In fact, this is the very TT Coupé tested by Top Gear. |
