Oh how I hate business travel, it's a necessary evil.

I upgrade everytime I can but... oh those times when you're stuck are HELL!

so here it goes.. top ten reasons to NOT travel coach ( as experienced by the Diva).

You are more than welcome to share your atrocious reasons.


Number 10: 5 hour trip with the children of the corn yelling kicking, screaming while parents pretend they do not know them 5 rows up.


Number 9: Fat guy who takes off his shoes and picks his nose next to you ( yeech!)

Number 8: weird girl with so many piercings, tattoos and cone-head like bonnet talking to herself as she reaches for imaginary flies in the air.

Number 7: poeple take FOREVER to load their junk in the overhead compartments, many try stuffing elephant-size duffels till a flight attendant tells them it's too darn big and MUST go in cargo area.


Number 6: the lady running phone sex business from cell phone who looks like Borat's wife gets loud, air marshall has to intervine.

Number 5:Old geazer next to you MUST show you the pictures or ALL her grandchildren , talk about all her sons, daughters, nieces nephews cats and dogs.

Number 4 :Creepy guy reading "Satanic tales of wonder" staring and twitching

Number 3: the guy who COUGHS the WHOLE trip spreading who knows what ungodly disease.

Number 2: the lady sneazing and weazing THE WHOLE TRIP spreading who knows what plague


And the number 1 reason to not travel coach:What? 5 dollars for a drink???

Hahaaha.. hilarious stuff there Diva!!


Since I live in Australia and my girlfriend lives in California, over the past 3 years I've had numerous flight in coach.. overall it's about a 14hour flight across the Pacific, so yep, he me LOTS of experience in Economy class

Point #7 I can relate to very much. Annoys the hell out of me seeing people hauling in large carry-on bags. The airlines should implement the policy: If it's too big for the overhead lockers, you're gonna have to carry it on your lap the entire flight!!

Another thing which annoys me... I board the plane, get comfy in my seat (remember, 14 hour flight ahead of me).. and a person sitting in the row in front gets his big ass into the seat, and IMMEDIATELY fully-reclines his seat!! Motherf***er!!

I'll try to think of more.. goodness knows I've had enough hours up in the air to experience the trials and tribulations of economy class travel.

The front seat just keeps getting closer and closer and you wind up with your laptop embeded in your esophagus!

How about the times you must sit by a person the size or North America and half of thier anatomy spills over to your seat?


Ohhh and I just remembered the curious toddler who MUST reach over from your back and tap your head/ pull your hair the WHOLE trip.

this is funny stuff, its worse on coaches when there isn't enough leg room so the whole trip you sit with your legs in the lane, then the stewardess asks you to put your legs in because its a health and safety hazard

Has anyone travelled JetBlue?

I had a great experience: good seats with enough room, a TV in the seat in front ( I watched Napolean Dynamite) the snacks are decent and the flight attendants were very kind.

Personally I hate plane travel in general. Most of those^ dont bother me, because all I ever do when flying is put my iPod in and put my head down and sleep. No.7 is the one that really ticks me off though, I am a very impatient person.

I was actually surprised by jetBlue!! I'm used to BA First but when I travelled domestic with my friend from SFO to BOS I travelled JetBlue (which saved me a ton of money). I must say, best American aviation travelling experience ever. The seats weren't great but the service was good and since it was a night flight the kids sitting next to us were passed out. Much better than flying Delta or UA or AA with their horrendous seats and magnanimously horrendous service in Business.

After all this though, I still prefer the carriers in India with their economy class. Great FREE meals, FREE drinks and comparable or slightly better legroom than jetBlue. The only difference is no TV but in a short hour and a half flight it doesn't matter and most of them are now offering the screens.

Delta are pretty crappy. I flew with them last year. In generally I hate air travel or any long trips for that matter.
