Re: **The new clothes thread**

I don't really have a particular look. I guess it would be new england preppy but I like to wear older brands like Ralph Lauren and Banana Republic. Not so much into Abercrombie and Hollister anymore. Characterize that with high school kids for some reason. I like to wear discreet clothing as well. I hate clothes that have the brand plastered all over the clothes. It pisses me off! I'm a person not a walking advertisement for Abercrombie and Fitch! I live in California so it's jeans a t-shirt and Birkenstock's for me 250 days out of the year! I think that more physical things like your hairstyle and the way you carry yourself are way more important than the clothes you where anyway.

Ahh yes ralph Lauren makes great clothes, not so much into Banana republic though. I agree that when you wear abercrombie you sorta are a walking billboard for them, but that dosent stop me from buying there clothes and lots of them. There clothes are just so comfortable and stylish that I cant pass them up.

Man are you guys loaded or what... Or maybe it's the culture differences. Most of my clothes are from pasar malams (street markets) and I have very few pairs of precious going-out clothes.

Re: **The new clothes thread**

haha well I go to a private school where you have to dress nice and there is a strict dress code so I have to wear those types of clothes. So there are markets where you buy your clothes on the street? I guess I live in the middle of no where so I have never been to something like that before.

I"m thinking of getting a pair of shoes. Just a plain normal looking pair by Tretorn. Does anyone know if they make good shoes?

I think it's the cultural differences.
Luwalira once said, and I've heard the same thing from alot of other people too. Walking around in a Swedish school, or Sweden at all for that matter is like a catwalk compared to America. Victoria Silvstedt says the same...

That's interesting... How is the dress code like? Coat, tie and all that? Zonda, you're right. I think it would be interesting to attend a private school like rudy does, just to see how different it is.

Yes, these markets are around and they sell pretty miscellaneous stuff, clothes being one of them... You should be saying I'm living in the middle of nowhere.

Re: **The new clothes thread**

I don't go to private school, and never have. It's still like that.
Geeks don't dress that fashionable though. But I do belive Swedish geeks dress better than foreign.
