Hey Alx , I think that page is old , I saw this when SLR barely debuted . I heard they are coming with a new SLR even more improved in terms of weight and performance . Im not sure about what engine it's getting but they said they will feed it more horsepower , somewhere close to 660 HP .

Its not outdated, but informative for those who haven't seen. feel free to post new current info on the 2006 SLR. The car your speaking of is newer version...

I dont really see the need to change it, but hey, competitive market so MB gotta do what they gotta do....

THey definately are pushing the bar further , and if they are gonna do something like that , Im sure they will make it worth it . It will take out the Carrera GT compettition .

I wouldn't count on it - Porsche make superior engines to Mercedes - and that's a fact. However, I must say, the SLR is starting to grow on me - I am beginning to appreciate it more as time goes on - there are things about it that are very sexy and beautiful but I still don't really like the rear. Overall though, it is a fantastic car

I would be good if MB would let Mclaren loose on te SLR, to make a clubsport version!

Then we would see a true sports car!
