It looks better than I expected. Actually, come to think of it, Convertible looks even better than the Coupé version.

It looks as if the SLR will finally become a sought after item. That looks good enough to be a true MB star.

the design of this convertible is more forgiving on the awkwardly long nose, that is for sure. However, this roadster simly confirms to me that the SLR's design is far too mainstream as compared to similarly priced exotics such as Carrera GT. Oh, and an SL looks equally good!

Anyone know when they're going to officially reveal it? The date must be getting close if they're doing filming of finished cars already. I hope they don't wait all the way until Frankfurt to show it. At least give us some official pics and stats before then!

My god what are we talking about for Frankfurt? The SLR Roadster, facelifted SL, CLS, SLK, the new C-Class wagon and the C63 AMG?

My guess is that it will be launched before the beginning of June. It would be stupid to launch it at Frankfurt when the summer is over.
