W198 1954-1963 (300SL Gullwing / Roadster)  R121 1955-1963 (190SL)  W113 1963-1971 (Pagoda)  R107 1971-1989  R129 1989-2001  R230 2001-200X  I love the Gullwing (who doesn't), but the W113 "Pagoda" gets my vote. One of Paul Bracq's best designs. Classy and sporty and timeless and still modern to drive according to magazines like Mercedes Enthusiast of the UK.  |

| Re: Vote for your FAVORITE Mercedes SL-Class! Very close call between the R129 and R230. In the end, I pick the latest R230. It is the most elegant/beautiful car in MB's lineup today, and that hardtop convertible feature can't be ignored. The ultimate coupe/convertible, all in one. |
