Sorry mate, but I don't speak Deutsch very well. Come to think of it, I don't speak Deutsch at all. What this article is all about?

I know three sad stories involving the W140.

-The S600 involved in Princess Diana's accident.
-The Silver S500 used in "The Peacemaker" chase scene
-The S280 transformed into a cottage by Jeremy Clarkson.

Personally, I love the W140 and still is my favourite S-Class.

Re: [brandeins] the fat one - the (sad) story of the W140

Just a correction, the S-class that Princess Di was in was an S280. No biggie, but it was no S600.

Re: [brandeins] the fat one - the (sad) story of the W140

The W140 always puts me at ease, and it did again 3 weeks ago, when I sat in a used one (even though it was in drab black). It just feels so spacious, safe and grand.
