I found it very interesting that cashmere is used in the headlining. That pretty top noch if you ask me, but the car is so damn expensive and I'll probably get to sit in one . Have any of you guys sat inside a Bentley or RR?![]() |

LOL - I'm not sure about that donau. - (BLOODY HELL! - I have just spilled coffee all over myself and my keyboard) 2 minutes later........What an idiot I am. Anyhow donau, I think they were being metaphorical in the article - referring to the doors as "clap hand doors" - maybe it's what Rolls-Royce prefers to call them rather than "suicide doors" - although I think they refer to them as "coach doors" - now I have to go and clean myself up a bit....I am literally covered in coffee....luckily it wasn't hot.

One thing that does strike me about the interior materials is how very traditional they they are - which is very fitting for the Rolls-Royce, but as I have said before, this is where Maybach could have gained an entirely, yet to be exploited, market segment - a truly high-tech luxury vehicle that expresses a new kind of luxury - rather than a traditional wood and leather cliché (they should leave that to Rolls-Royce), Maybach should have exploited new materials and finishes to create something very original and bold - sadly, I guess market-forces come into play here - maybe the market for the Maybach really is ultra-conservative after-all.
