It doesn't work for me in white... that swathe of carbon fibre disrupts the flow of the lines and looks starkly out of place.

It does. But the white itself looks awesome on this car, and you can always take the car without that ugly carbon part. Would be much better that way.

dont usually like white cars- but that one is hot!

so if it looks so great in white, can wait to see it in its other clothes!

News update. The white R8 is just a photoshop. Look here is the same car (check the plates) in silver:

and now after a simple photoshop job:
