"Any potential customers queuing up to get their hands on the Audi R8, one of the most anticipated cars of the year, may have to wait a little longer because of possible production delays. Germany’s Autobild reports that the problems stem from issues such as overheating and too much tire ware and that the car will be released in much smaller quantities than originally expected when it goes on sale midway through next year.

Audi execs are denying the rumors and instead argue that the R8’s production line is already at full capacity. Many of the problems are shared by some models from sister company Lamborghini, especially the case of the engines overheating. We suspect that these delays may give many unscrupulous dealers the incentive to jack up the prices surrounding the launch."

Intresting! A guy I know his mum has an RS4 on order. She was going to get the RS4 six weeks ago but got a call the car is delayed to Februar. So its not only the R8's.

That story is a few days old (in German media at least) but i never cared to post it here cause it's not true. Truth is the number of R8s is very limited and Audi cannot make them fast enough.

how do you explain the thing I said about the RS4? why does he suddenly has to wait to februar?

I don't know Andreas but it not the first time i hear about a delay in the delivery of a car. Nothing strange about that. New X5 has a six month waiting period here in Greece for example, if the car comes in 7 months it will be nothing unusual.

The Rs4 has been out for a while so its not the waiting period. The dealer claimed he has no idea thats why and blamed Audi in Germany for the delay.
The truth is that many Audi dealers in Sweden are crap, no service minded at all. I know people buying a another brand because they got really bad service and help. Audi dealers in Sweden need to shape up.

Waiting period times is something else, JM. I waited five months for my S60 and dad 7 months for his XC90, and the same goes for BMW and Audi. It's not something terrible!
