You hit the nail on the head, my feelings are exactly the same towards the non S line equipped model.

I've gotten use to the proportions now. I think it looks much better than the facelifted E53/E70 X5.

I've seen a few E70's in person now, and now that the late models "newness" has faded somewhat, I'm coming to realize just how much inspiration is lacking in this new model. The external design updates of the E70 compared to it's predecessor are juts not enough, and that's not saying it's a bad looking car. The Q7 looks just right, keeping with the design of Audi's avant models, as well as the rest of the range. I saw a Q7 yesterday out of the corner of my eye while talking to a freind, and a curse word jumped out of my mouth almost completely sub-conciously, it was a joyful expression. That says a lot in my book.
