As far as I know, Porsche is the only company to offer (factory stock) color-matched rims for your car. I'm just curious as to why more people don't check this option off! I mean, if you look at my avatar, you'll see how awesome those wheels can look really good. In case you can't see well enough, I've attached pictures of my dream Cayman S.

Any opinions on why more people don't get their wheels color matched?

My boss wife owned a yellow Porsche 968 with yellow rims from Porsche. Seats and interior was yellow as well.

They're the standard wheels, only painted black..

I only like black wheels on tuned cars. On a stock Cayman (I normally like stock, ie. unmodified, cars; no offense Alex!) I would prefer the stock, silver coloured wheels.

I agree, no reason for me to be offended.... I personally prefer silver as well. Unless the car is like you say tuned.

Its just that design of rim i dont like its so blah looking. There is just nothing nice about them.

they've been given the name lobster claw wheels by some.

I don't like the look of painted wheels that much. In rare occurences they used to look good, but now that they've caught on as popular I like them less.

Although I dont like the rims but I love black rims on a black car. Ill try posting a pic of a white 997 with white techarts. That looks good too.
