I don't see this as saying they will build a new 917, only they will be building a car somehow "analogous". I think this is another refernece to the rumored upcoming GT1 which will be based on the CGT. There were sketches leaked from Weissach in the new Auto Week.

I'm sure for the right price the special wishes department would build a new 917 from scratch it somebody wanted it, but it would cost more than buying an original 917.
