That last picture (above far right) is the same Rolls-Royce (Phantom II) below - this is one of the most astounding Rolls-Royces I have ever seen - don't you love that circular door and that raked grill - Wow! - it's an Art Déco fantasy.

WOW!!! The Rolls-Royce (Phantom II) is mind blowing, it's so damn beautiful and the new Azure is looking really fine.

Nice pics Roberto.

My favorites are the Maybach 57S, Gallardo and any of the Rollers. That Bentley Azure Drophead has such good paint to the point that it looks wet.

Re: Some rather nice pix of some rather nice cars

On that Phantom II above - (actually I suspect it's a Phantom III), I'm guessing it was built by a French coachbuilder (or possibly Italian, but I'm thinking more French) - it's definately not a British design though - it's fantastically stylish - but tasteful? - well that's open to debate I guess.

I saw this one for sale - it was built for the Prince of Nepal in 1932 by the French coachbuilders Figoni et Falaschi.

Here is a 1937 Talbot built by Figoni et Falaschi.

But this is the weirdest Rolls-Royce I have ever seen - complete with 24carat gold grill it is the work of another French coachbuilder (it could only be French really) Jean-Henri Labourdette - now this definately is not the height of good taste, but it is quite wonderful in it's own way.

OK - I promise - no more OLD cars - LOL

Re: Some rather nice pix of some rather nice cars

That's cool, old cars are ok - for an old man, right Roberto? Oops, did I say that out loud? Just kidding! No, really, it's good to have someone to broaden the subject matter here and provide some excellent insight into design

Thanks for the pics. That art deco Rolls is pretty cool, it's straight out of something like a Tim Burton movie, like Batman or Edward Scissorhands. Very film noir.

Re: Some rather nice pix of some rather nice cars

SV - you make me feel very old - lol - but, for as long as I can remember, I have loved antique cars as much as the new ones; I think true greatness transcends time.

AlxAmg, that Ferrari is the 'Rossa Pininfarina Concept', from 2000
