The car was silver with a rear that was a direct evolution of the E39 and a front end like the pre-facelift E65. I wasn't hip to the Huckfeldt game when I saw that PS, so I spent months thinking that the image was real. I would have all these PS'es if my wife didn't throw away my collection of AutoBilds when we moved to LA! |

![]() | Re: When Huckfeldt Was Dead Wrong I think this thread so far, clearly shows that we can't always take Huckfledts impressions too seriously- especially when it's years before the model is to be released. I remember his impressions of the 3er coupe and convertible being way off. But the guy is a legend, and us enthusiasts are better off having somone like him satisfy our automotive curiosity. Cheers to Huckfeldt!!! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: When Huckfeldt Was Dead Wrong The "problem" is that Huckfeldt / journalists / editors - being a part of AutoBild which is an automotive branch of tabloid Bild - sometimes react to rumors and produce a story & CGI way ahead the final design & development details are known & done! In such case his CGIs are his own imagination, not based on "inside info". And in such cases his CGIs are way off - and that is the case with almost all his initial CGIs. But when some info & spy pics are available, he is able to produce the best approximation of a real deal. ![]() |
