Re: The Engine Thread

Man...I'm glad you guys like this thread. I was thinking about his last night and thought it would be a great idea.

This will be a good thread for engine info, if anyone needs it!

Funny...so far there are only german engines. Now I'll list my fav. Japanese engine.

1. RB26DETT
2. 2.6L I6 Twin-Turbo, 276 hp (under rated) and 260ft-lb Torque (under rated). The stock block is capable of handling 1000bhp. Many owners have dyno this at over 325 whp stock.
3. R34 Skyline GT-R
4. honestly, I'm not sure if this has won any awards but I know it has lots of praises.
5. The engine code is my initials...RB is my intials ( ). Plus, I love the skyline gt-r and knowing how tuner friendly this engine is and it's reliability...you have to give Nissan credit when it's due.

How about a poll later on to vote on which is the best engine?

Re: The Engine Thread

Well, if enough people want, I can make a poll. It will be interesting to see the results.

Re: The Engine Thread

You can not be talking about great engines and leave the NSX's V6 out

1. C32B

2. 3179cc (3.2 litres) 6 Cylinders, 90 degree
Bore & Stroke: 93.0mm x 78.0mm
Compression Ratio: 10.2:1
DOHC, 4VPC, VTEC
280 PS @ 7,300 rpm/298Nm (224lb-ft) of torque @ 5,300 rpm

3. Fitted to the NSX coupe for nearly fifteen years

4. No exact awards, but many comments on the engine's sweet power delivery, reliabilty and strength. Introduced Variable Valve Timing to Honda and sports cars This was the first engine ever produced to use titanuim con-rods.

5. I love this engine because it's exactly what Honda is good at, creating high revving motors.

Re: The Engine Thread

I think the engine code for the NSX is C32B for the 3.2L engine and C30A for the 3.0 engine.

Yeah...that engine is badass as well.
