Blog Entries: 2 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | List of Automotive Superlatives Take a look at this list from Wikipedia, tons of great information - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER This specific quote struck me: Most torque "Petrol (naturally-aspirated) - 760 N·m (561 ft·lb-ft), 2005 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER F 7.3 L (7291 cc/445 in³) V12 engine. Honorable Mention: 1760 N·m (1298.1 ft·lbf), 2006 Weineck Cobra 780 cui Limited Edition (12782 cc/780 in³) V8 engine. (Production car status is debatable.) Petrol (forced-induction) - 1250 N·m (922 ft·lbf), 2005 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER 8.0 L (7993 cc/488 in³) - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER W16 engine." Now for a naturally aspirated engine i've looked and have only found one naturally aspirated vehicle with more torque, but whether it qualfies or not is to debate. The TVR Speed 12 is the vehicle, it's 7.7 litre V12 develops a little over 900Nm, however the Speed 12 never made it into production, only one was made for the road. So that excludes it from being a production vehicle. So for current production vehicles it does have the most. However if i am correct the CLK GTR had 775Nm, but then the Zonda F Clubsport has 780Nm. Is there any vehicle above that? In production or out of production? (must be road legal and naturally aspirated) Not arguing, just curious Other information: "Longest - 6650 mm (261.8 in) - 2006 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Super Duty Crew Cab Long Bed Passenger car - 6426 mm (253 in) - 1975 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Honorable mention - 6400 mm (252 in) - 1932 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER (Few produced) Commercial - 6852 mm (269.8 in) - - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Honorable mention - 6680 mm (263.0 in) - 2005 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Widest - 2118 mm (83.39 in) - 2006 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Highest - 2037 mm (80.2 in) - 2005 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER 4x4 SUV Honorable mention - 2631 mm (103.6 in) - 2005 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER (Not a consumer vehicle) Honorable mention - 1632 mm (64.3 in) - 2006 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER ("Highest passenger car") Shortest - 1340 mm (52.8 in) - 1962 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER (3 wheels) Honorable mention - 2286 mm (90 in) - 1956 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER (4 wheels) Lowest - 1020 mm (40 in) - 1966 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER ( Honorable mention - 37 in (940 mm) - - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER (Not a production car) " " Most specific power (power to weight ratio) 100–200 hp — 288.75 hp/metric ton (7.64 lb/hp) — - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER, 190 hp (142 kW) and 658 kg (1451 lb) 200–300 hp — 657 hp/metric ton (3.35 lb/hp) — - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER 2 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER 300 hp (224 kW) and 456 kg (1005 lb) 300–400 hp — 381 hp/metric ton (5.79 lb/hp) — 2003 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER S 400 hp (298 kW) and 1050 kg (2315 lb) 400+ hp — 683 hp/metric ton (3.12 lb/hp) — 2004 - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER V8 engine 806 hp (468 kW) and 1180 kg (2513 lb) " |

The Invicta S1-320 is 84.0 inches and the XJ220: 87.4 inches. I'll update it into Wikipedia ![]() -Updated most torque to Zonda F ClubSport with 780Nm, added CLK GTR as honorable mention -Updated width, -Updated fast saloon (wasn't sure to put whether to put the Brabus V12 Rocket, i put the EV12) -Updated the Veyron for 0-200 km/h and 0-300 km/h, added honorable mention of McLaren F1 -Updated Displacement chart, added Zonda as honorable mention Last edited by Bruce; 10-28-2006 at 03:45 PM. |
