Don't be too sure about anything. The introduction of the W221 is a complete unknown because of all the bleeding-edge stuff going on under the hood.

Although I hope for the best, I'm guessing that the new S will suffer teathing problems for the first year or so. The 7er doesn't seem to be doing terribly well with time and neither did the W220, so it's always up in the air from my point of view.

I can agree with that. The first and 2nd year always seem to be the brake in period for some of the bugs to be worked out of the production line. As far as the 2005-06 S-Class verses the 2000-02 models I`ve noticed an improvement in the quality and reliablity ratings.

I agree! This is why I would avoid buying a new car in the first year of prodution. Any car!

Lol, it's still a great car with MORE THAN ENOUGH QUALITY and i don't give a **** what you or JD says about it. I know it's a great car and so do thousands of people around the world who bought it. And MB can release a brand new W222 S that'll beat every single big luxury sedan on the world, 7er too...but the 7er will still be a great car with more than enough quality.

As expected, the whole list is European. Which is not a bad thing of course
