Yes ladies and gentlemen, it's that time of year again - the time of year when Forbes tell us all how to spend the $6 million plus that's been burning a hole in our pockets.

Although Mercedes didn't top the list (that honor goes to the Bugatti Veyron 16.4, priced at a mere $1,192,057), the SLR McLaren is holding steady towards the rear of the pack, coming at number 7 with a price tag of $452,750. To help keep the lowly Mercedes company, its Maybach siblings decided they'd drop by as well, with the $448,153 Maybach 62 and the $430,355 Maybach 57 S taking the number 8 and 10 spots, respectively.

not surprising list. wow that veyron is so much more expensive then the rest. not that i didnt know that but it still shocked me. What is that leblanc thing. never heard of it

i would ave thought the place of origin for the slr would have been woking, GB seeing as that is where it is assembled.....

It's basically another road-legal race car except instead of having a small performance engine it has a Koenigsegg engine. It weighs 1790 pounds and has 700 or so horsepower.

No, it depends purely on the brand. For example, the BMW X5 is made at the Spartanburg plant in USA, but ofcourse you wouldn't say the X5 was America.

I wonder where the Ferrari Enzo's gone... and oh, what about the Maserati MC12 ??

Other than that.. wow, look at the Veyron..!! Amazing how even with that price, VAG probably will never recover the large financial investment to make this car a reality.

thanks carbon for clearing things up. Cant say that i like the looks of that thing. To much or a f1 road car which looks kinda dumb and pointless.
