![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Top 10 Sedans...... I'm curious to know what everyone's favorite 4-door cars are and why. No more than 10 please and cars with 4-doors only. My list in no particular order: 1. Mercedes S65 AMG - The most luxury and power you can get from Germany. 2. BMW M5 - A 4-door racing vehicle in disguise, oh what an engine! 3. Audi S8 - The large and agile executive GT with the Italian heart. 4. Maserati Quattroporte Executive GT - One of the swankest 4-door cars on the market, major exclusivity. 5. Bentley Arnage T - The old world aristocrat. Superior craftsmanship and status. 6. Audi RS4 - An compact awd rocket with an interior to die for. 7. Mercedes CLS55 AMG - Stunning shape and interior with kick-ass power. 8. Maybach 57S - Finally a Maybach worth having. Massive power and tasteful interior appointments. 9. BMW 330i - The compact sports sedan benchmark that is seemingly undefeatable. 10. Mercedes E500 - luxury, class and in a few months some serious power (E550). M |

Subaru Legacy GT - Another complete package. 7. Honda Accord Euro R - Gives the GTI a run for its money. 8. BMW 760Li - Presence & snob value. 9. Audi A8 W12 - Quiet elegance. 10. ![]() | Re: Top 10 Sedans...... Wow, you guys have a lot of favourite sedans. I like a lot of cars, but nothing so much and so definitely that I could make a list. Plus, lots of big price tags there - I'm glad Mirage put a bit of perspective in his list.. 1. Audi RS4 - great mix of speed and decent looks. Couldn't complain too much about a harsh ride. 2. Mercedes Benz E55 AMG - it's been my favourite largeish sedan for a while, effortless pace and plenty of grace, well, at least before the coming facelift.. 3. Audi A8 - great looks both inside and out. Should be comfort aplenty. 4. Honda Accord Euro - ticks lots of boxes for an affordable price. Sure, it lacks a little steering feel, according to some, and it's not comparable to an Audi or some such, but it's great for the money. Honestly, that's about it for favourites. There are many other cars that I like somewhat, but not enough to rate being a favourite. Honourable mentions go to: - Mazda 6 - for being an attractive and affordable alternative to the Camry. - Toyota Camry - the upcoming Camry, for being better looking than the current one and will hopefully add halfway decent dynamic ability to its reputation for reliability. - VW Jetta - could have been good, with the front half of a Golf, but the back is dumpy. Plus, it's made in Mexico. - Mazda 3 - cheap motoring, but unfortunately feels like it too. - Ford Focus sedan - looks decent outside, but not quite there in some ways, technologically and interior-wise. - Volvo S40 - cramped in the back seats, and driving excitement not quite there despite decent dynamic ability. I like the looks. Apparently my eyes are on the affordable end of the market. |

But, Merc1's title say "Top 10 Sedans"... Not "Top 10 Affordable Sedans"... ![]() | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Top 10 Sedans...... Here's my list: 1) BMW M5, the best sedan for me out there. suitable, both for cruising and for fun. 2) BMW 760Li, it would be the luxury car in my garage. Suitable for long cruising and for prestige 3) MB E320. I think it would be the best car, in which to carry the family (i don't have one). Fast enough, nice and well known name. 4) BMW 330. The small sedan for in the city use. It is also good, if you wanna go downtown and you don't want to spend all your day in the traffic. 5) Audi A6 3.2T Quattro. Another affordable (for some) sedan. Good alternative to the E320. I would pick up one of these two, judging from my mood. 6) Volvo S40. Pretty nice car. I like it. It would be great for small trips, like going for lunch outside the town. For the clubs i would take the M5, though. 7) Honda Civic sedan. I don't know why, but i always liked the look of this car. (not the newest one) 8) Mitsubishi Evo VIII. Just for fun 9) Skoda Fabia Sedan. For going to work... 10) Audi A4 1.8T. I'm out of ideas. For the wife... |
