Re: What would be the best car for your grandpa?

The Honda Civic always struck me as a car for younger people. I can see that senior citizens might be attracted to it because of it's value-for-money factor.

Interesting that there's no Mercedes on the list. Everyone talks about how those are "cars for old people"...

Re: What would be the best car for your grandpa?

I have a protruding disk in my back that bothers me occasionally, and it so happens that it has been bothering me lately, and by the way, I am still a youngster. I had to go to the dealer the other day due to some recall business on the brakes and I went and sat in 3 new cars. One of them was the MB R350. What a nice and comfortable car to get in and out. My opinion of the R - series did a 180 degree about turn. I think this car actually has a purpose. It is a fantastic car for anyone who needs easy access in and out of the car, comfortable seats and just about every convenience that at least I would be wanting. I think the R - series MB cars would be great cars for older people who tend to have some physical limitations that we younger ones don't even think about.

My grandpa is dead.

I'll agree that MMI and iDrive may be a bit much for most older people.
