![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | FWD, AWD, or RWD???? Pick one and give your reasons as to why you think this is the best drivetrain layout. Sure there may be an obvious majority favorite, but everyone's different. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: FWD, AWD, or RWD???? This all depends on what type of vehicle or what you're looking for the vehicle to do. RWD is still the best layout for a real sports car. FWD is best for a strictly family sedan and AWD can be used as a go-between for both. M |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: FWD, AWD, or RWD???? I really truly and honestly adore AWD. The car feels tons more alert and responsive, you never loose grip, only obtain more of it the harder you push the car(as was my experience w/ the B7 S4< love) I like RWD and AWD for different reasons, and would gladly take either. Too bad BMW doesn't equip M cars w/ AWD, but rightfully so as that wouldn't be very fitting. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: FWD, AWD, or RWD???? 1) AWD - better traction and advantages over RWD in slippery environments. 2) RWD - classic layout and the one to choose for sports car enthusiasts. 3) FWD - ok for smaller cars, but for bigger cars, AWD or RWD should be standard IMO. Better than RWD in the snow for sure. |
