The most stolen cars in Sweden

The most stolen brand in the capital of Sweden, Stockholm.

• 1. Volkswagen

• 2. Mercedes

• 3. Audi

• 4. Peugeot

• 5. Mazda

• 6. Nissan

• 7. Renault

• 8.Toyota

• 9. Saab

• 10. Volvo

• 11. Ford

• 12. BMW

I dont know if its a good sign to see BMW at the bottom. Is it cause the cars are ugly or they are difficult to steal.

LOL they cant be any harder to steal than others..
But i know for a fact that most cars stolen in sweden goes to baltikum and russia..
And you all know russia.. MB crazy all the way..

--- so i guess they are easier to sell there...
ohh and everybody wants a VW..thats just a gr8 everyday car.. easy to sell..all over the world..

Volvo in 10th place. Good.

But two months ago, someone tried to steal my S60. I had it outside the garage, but the alarm went of (4 am)!

The X5 has been a highly popular stealing object here in Sweden. Folks steal them with the keys and changes engines numbers and all that and than sell them in countries like estonia.

Was the car damaged or anything? It's rather pointless trying to steal a new car since you simple have to have the in order to get it moving.

it happen on 30th of September i think. It was the first week in my new house and the garage wasn't finished yet (i had to wait a week more). I was out at night and then when i came back (2.30am) i was too tired to take the car to dad's garage, so i left it in the street. Then some b'stards tried to open the window using a piece of thin metal. I assume they were not proffessionals, otherwise they would open it, or leave it as the alarm is easyly noticable! They didn't damage the car. It is perfectly intact from the 25-10-2004 when i took delivery of the car!!

List probably goes by most wanted, and most needed for parts. Thats usually how it is here in the states.
