I don't see the point making street cars soo powerful, where are you going to go 400 km/h??! Not even on the empty highway. I think that car-producers/manufacturers should make these powerful cars (Veyron, Saleen...) and keep them in museums, to remind them how 'good' they are... |

These super sports cars gives the manufacturers time to play with their money and strengthen their image. Just the same the USA is using NASA as an organisation where money can be wasted on prestige. |

![]() BTW does anyone know anything about how the S7 handles? Is it just one of those straight-line-only performers? | |

Yep thats about as bad is it gets.. like i said before, it looks like a sandwich.. Ohh and i think its a very very hard thing to get into the supercar buisness and to be real player.. and get respect.. We have seen alot of them trying.. like koenigsegg.. saleen...weismann..morgan..tvr..and many more.. they just dont make it...you need something very speciall.. and obviously its hard to put your finger on what that thing really is... cause we dont lack Hp´s or design in many of these cars.. but its still something thats missing.. maybe its passion.. or maybe its the magic..who knows.. ![]() |

![]() | Re: BIG NEWS: Move over Veyron, we may have a new title-holder soon!! It appears I'm going to get flamed for this, but I rather don't care. I like the Saleen. I think it's a better looking car than the Veyron. And I LOVE the fact that it takes Saleen half the cylinders and half the turbos to come up with the same horsepower. Wasn't it Jeremy Clarkson who said the Americans wasted engine power (in regards to the 8.3 liter Viper)? If so, I think we just proved him wrong (don't get me wrong, I love Clarkson and Top Gear). I'd take the Saleen over the Veyron. I like the sleek look, the all-American power, the fact that it doesn't take all-wheel-drive to rip off a 2.9. It's more basic, more hardcore, and pays homage to American cars of the past. It's wide, it's low, it's rear-wheel-drive, and it's got a V8. I read in a review of the Bugatti that the only thing that the original founder would recognize on the car would be the grille. So there, flame if you must. |

![]() | Re: BIG NEWS: Move over Veyron, we may have a new title-holder soon!! i think comparin these two cars is like compare cl600 to m6, veyron as have been said million times already, is a luxury oriented missile, and this saleen is more sporty consider its weight and rwd. and i also wonder how long that v8 will last. cuz if you are talkin about 1000hp, tuned supra's reached there already, but the engine wont last long. i have a feelin that this saleen is just like those supras, highly tuned engine that has low engine life-span. |
