Re: Big Sedan BATTLE! (BMW, Bentley, Benz...etc.)

Nice poll HOH.

I voted for the Mercedes S-Class... Despite it being a dime a dozen in our streets, I still feel it's one heck of a car. I'll never go for lower spec models though... If I were to do that, I'd rather get a VW Phaeton or a 730Li, which does the job so much better for a lower price.

The S-Class deserves to be had in its most appropriate appointments... The S500 and the S600. I don't feel much for the S63 or S65.

Coupled with that, I'll get a designo interior.

I used to be infatuated with the Jag, but now after seeing that they haven't changed the interior at all for the facelift, I have pretty much left it out of the equation... The Lexus is a very nice car, but I'll use it as a chauffeur's car, not as a car of my own to drive.

It is with much difficulty for me to forgo the A8 as my first choice... But I feel the S-Class offers a more complete package of comfort and sport. I have been in an A8 a few times and I'm still not completely sold on its ride quality. A shame, because I think it has the best interior of the lot.

As for the 7er, I mentioned above that it'll be the best car for the lower-spec 6-cylinder models... Because it simply has the best 6-cylinder engine among the lot.

The Bentley? Way too expensive and out of my budget... It doesn't look spectacular to start with. A spectacular price should match a spectacular car. And the looks of car doesn't do its price justice. It has a very nice interior though... But its way too ostentatious for my taste.

BTW HOH, you left out the VW Phaeton and the Maserati Quattroporte in the poll.

For me it is the A8. I like them all but the A8 is the car I have the most appreciation for.

Re: Big Sedan BATTLE! (BMW, Bentley, Benz...etc.)

I also really miss the phaeton! It's a great car...

...so in this battle, I would go for the Bentley Flying Spur, followed by:

2. Jaguar XJ (the pre-facelifted one!!)
3. Mercedes S-Class
4. BMW 7 series
5. Audi A8

My vote goes to A8 but yesterday I saw this black facelifted BMW 750i. It actually look good and deserve more praise on this board than it gets.

Re: Big Sedan BATTLE! (BMW, Bentley, Benz...etc.)

hold on..
HOH asked us wich one is the BEST sedan..
now you might prefere some other sedan..but i think most of you know that the benz is the best..

and then he asked.. tell us why your pick is better than the others..
here design doesent count imo cause its personall..
so i wonder what is there really anything that the rest can do better than the S??

probably 1 thing or nothing..hehe

So if this poll was wich is your fav sedan.. then it would be ok to vote for whatever..
but this is for the BEST sedan..
so not voting for the S would just be very very wrong.

PS
Dont mind me..vote how ever you want..haah

I did go for the Audi, you know understated and everything but if it was the Hybrid Lexus then I would have that, though its not exactly helping much to save the world, but its a start.

Re: Big Sedan BATTLE! (BMW, Bentley, Benz...etc.)

Easy poll, S-Class followed very closely by the A8. The rest are really matterless, but the Bentley would be a contender if I only had to look at it from the inside. Strangely enough I'd have to consider the Lexus LS and Jaguar after that, with the 7-Series being dead last. Hell if I'm going to drive an ugly car (7-Series or Bentley) may as well get the one with the best interior!

Re: Big Sedan BATTLE! (BMW, Bentley, Benz...etc.)

1. A8
2. Jag
3. Benz
4. lexus
5. BMW
6. Bentley

I choose the A8 well specifically the S8 because i just love the looks of it coupled with a great designed interior. Plus the only sedans i would choose over it would be the S65 and the Phantom. The Jag, I even surprised myself by putting it there today, its just that i lovvve that exterior, just has that old world understated elegance that just sets it apart from the rest. The rest of the cars are ok but there is something about each that i don't like. Ex. S Class the interior dosnt do it for me, Lexus theres just something about that dashboard stuff which isnt up to par. BMW, always have loved this car but it just seems a little dated right now. And now to the Bentley, what did they do to that exterior, the coupe looks great so well proportioned and then we get this sedan and it was a huge letdown for me, since i really wanted to like this car. I like the Bentley's interior the most, it just exudes luxury and exclusiveness.
