Here's a little something I thought I'd never end up photographing... ![]() Lordi Oulu, Finland February 6, 2008 Canon Digital Ixus v3 If you're wondering what the hell I was doing at their gig... Sandy's a fan and we went to see the world premiere of Dark Floors (a Lordi horror film), which coincidentally did not suck (and I'm not a fan of horror films)... they performed a few songs afterwards, and let's just say that these guys put on a good show ![]() |

And I didn't take them seriously so I laughed the entire concert ![]() Now though it's a different story, they are very much serious! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: General Photo Comp #77 Nope. The main guy (Mr Lordi) has been making monster costumes ever since he was a kid, and apparently had not even heard of GWAR before gaining some sort of fame (GWAR is not known at all on this side of the Atlantic)... Musically, their biggest influence is KISS. Their 'breakthrough' was in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006, a competition known for girls in skimpy dresses doing forgettable pop songs, pretty boys singing syrupy ballads and the occasional folksy/multi-ethnic/supposedly humorous act thrown in for good measure... let's just say that they stood out. |
