I honestly don't know what you're talking about? First of all, what 'foliage' do you mean? I only see small black trees on my picture? And secondly, I haven't mastered the HDR technique yet, so this could be anything but HDR

Only some (major) enhancement in Photoshop, which causes the 'halo'

I have to say this public questioning by Alok seems a very unkind. Publicly calling El Zorro out on something (which Alok ended up being wrong about) shouldn't be accepted.

If you see a photo which you think is 'bending' the rules a bit, then a PM should be sent to either Choleric or Bruce (since they seem to run the comps) and they'll take it on from there.

I'm not taking a personal swipe at Alok.. simply voicing my opinion that publicly putting someone on the spot when you think they have broken the rules seems very unkind at the very least.
