Actually I was referring to your photo of the two Porsches But I like your photo of the Volvo too, very nice, it made me wanna try something similar... Only now I discovered how easy it is to make sepia (or "duotone") pictures in Photoshop . I think this effect suits my entry, because it is a roadster that was built in the 1930's.

BTW, does anybody have an idea how you can create photos (by means of Photoshop) in which the amount of light decreases to the sides of the photo? So the center of the photo should be brighter than the borders of the photo, to obtain a similar effect as is applied on the (moving) images in Top Gear. I hope somebody understands what I am talking about .

I assume you are refering to a vignette, if so the way I have done in photoshop is to 1) create a new layer mask as a solid color(black),then 2) use the circular gradient tool and inverse it, and click in the midle of the pic and drag the line way outside of the edge of the photo, or whatever you think is necessary.

Hope that makes sense. Im sure there are probablly other ways to do it as well.

Dominic's pic? Of the Volvo? No not really, I can't remember having seen pictures with the effect I'm talking about... I'm glad there is at least somebody who knows what I am referring to I hope somebody can answer this question, I would like to know how to do it.

"Vignetting", indeed, that's the correct photographic term
I didn't know this effect was used on the photos you posted above... very nice result I'm gonna try it later on (I'm at work now ), but I you have time, could you briefly explain how to create and/or apply these layer masks? Thanks for your professional advice
