I can't say that i agree nor that i disagree. I would say just "influenced" without the "heavily".

I like the hidden rear handles. It adds to the car's sportiness.

Influenced for sure. Still, someone has to start the trend.

If it turns out like the black one, I'd take it over the CLS anyway. Although I think the headlights would be more like the silver one's - VW don't have any twin-teardrop lights at the moment, IIRC.. and the newer Eos and the Passat itself both have only one teardrop.

I 'm not sure if i like the lights on the Passat. Remind me too much of Subaru but in a worse way. Facelifted Polo and Eos look sharper and more unique.

Looks very nice, but again that crap with 4door coupe... That really pisses me off!

I like it....particularly the black one...a lot. VW...build it!
The low roofline/high beltline makes it look very aggressive.
It's the best integrated design I've seen of the new grille.
