Maybe alloy wheels are dealer fit? Though that would be extremely silly. They could be fleet spec models, hubcaps and in unadventurous colours to aid resale value.

More than 40% of the cars sold in Greece are silver coloured! Read it in greek AMS. But i haven't seen a single silver Passat here. I have only seen black ones!

PS. dealers prefer silver cars for excibits!
