2007 Opel GTC Concept

I like this...looks very nice. My only concern is that this looks loo much like the Infinity G35 Coupe/Nissan Skyline. The side-view is very very very similar, even some interior elements are the same.

Based on the next generation Vectra platform, the Gran Turismo Coupe’s purpose is not only to pre-announce Opel’s return to the mid-size Coupe category (after it abandoned it in the 90’s with the Calibra) but also to signal a change in the German company’s design department. That means take a closer look at the Grand Turismo Coupe’s styling cues cause that’s what we’re going to see from Opel in the very near future starting out with the next generation Vectra that'll come out in mid to late 2008 (expect the coupe version sometime in 2009).

Maybe even more importantly, you should check out the near-to-production interior that takes the Astra & Antara cabin design-language a step up marking a significant change from the overly conservative Vectra. As for the “mechanical” department, the 4.830 mm long Grand Turismo is fitted with an upgraded version of the current Vectra OPC’s 2.8-liter V6 Turbo pumping out 300Hp (from 255Hp). Fitted with a 4wheel-drive system the Gran Turismo can go from 0 to 100km/h (62 mph) in around 6,0 sec while its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155mph).

Kowalski...did you read anything about if GM might bring the car Stateside like it has done with other opel models?

No. But we can assume that Saturn will have a version of this car, since Bob Lutz announced an "Opelization" on the future Saturn models.

Man if that's the case than Saturn is quickly becoming my favourite GM brand in the US.

Not that I'd buy this car because of the horrid options they're going to have for it though. Like the Saturn Sky has no LSD unless you want it as an option....WTH? Why wouldn't a sports-roadster already have LSD? Just retarded.

I'd much rather see a Saab than Saturn version of this car. Looks freak'n sweet, better than the E92 3er IMO. Give us a Saab coupe and I'll look at it...

Nice looking concept car, although none of the design elements are new or unique. The front over hang is still a bit too long.
