Blog Entries: 2 | Sport Auto: Tuned Mercedes' (old article!) I found this article over on Carpassion.de and it's from a very early issue of Sport Auto (early 90's I believe) and I had no clue the 190E EVO had been run around the Nurburgring..Super rare article!! The test conductor..a young Michael Schumacher - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Facts: Mercedes-Benz, 190E EVO II 235PS/7200 245Nm/5000 Nurburgring: 8:54 0-100 km/h: 7.0 seconds 100 km/h-0: 39.3 metres Mercedes-Benz AMG 190E 3.2 234PS/5750 305Nm/4500 Nurburgring: 8:51 0-100 km/h: 7.1 seconds 100 km/h-0: 38.6 metres Brabus 500E 6.0 408PS/5600 604Nm/3800 Nurburgring: 9:08 0-100 km/h: 5.7 seconds 100 km/h-0: 37.2 metres Carlsson C35 242PS/5800 350Nm/3900 Nurburgring: 8:47 0-100 km/h: 6.7 seconds 100 km/h-0: 39.6 metres Last edited by Bruce; 12-16-2006 at 10:27 PM. |

| Re: Sport Auto: Tuned Mercedes' (old article!) Just read it. Interesting old article. M. Schumacher looks very young in these pictures, and very '80s. The AMG 190E won and is the best compromise, the Brabus is supposedly the most comfortable, the Carlsson has a lot of weaknesses (handling / suspension) and the 190E EVO (stock car) is the sportiest. ![]() |

| Re: Sport Auto: Tuned Mercedes' (old article!) No problem. I was quite interested in this review myself. From that bunch, I have to say the 190E Evo looks the best visually. It also is the sportiest drive according to review but strangely isn't as comfortable as the AMG 190E. The Brabus should't really be compared though since it is a W124 E-Class, not a W201 190-Series. ![]() |
