The vacations thread

So guys i am leaving tomorrow, and i was curious to see what you will do this summer.

As i said, i leave tomorrow for my home-town, since a relative is getting engaded and she is having a party that i don't want to miss, plus she is getting engaged with an imortant guy, and this is a great opportunity to make some good connections.

Then on Sunday i come back, pack my staff and leave for the island of Naxos in the Aigian see. I won't take any car with me. I will take the bus to the airport and then fly to the island. The whole journay lasts about three to four hours if there is no delay in the airport.

As for how long i will stay, i don't know. I guess until i am bored of the island. But, sadly, i have to be back on 1st of September...

So, what about you? Any plans, suggestions?

I was in the Greek island of Corfu last week. I stayed there for 6 days.

In August i will be very busy with work so no more vacation for me this Summer.

I was in Corfu in summer 2004. I liked it very much. I would expect you, though, since you already live in an island, to go for vacations in a mountain

BTW, the sad thing for me is that i won't take my car with me. I will rent one there, or just hang around with a friend's Renault...

Well i just got back from Jamaica a couple of months ago, and im going to Paradise Island, Bahamas hopefully in the next couple of months,a dn for new years probably taking a wee k from Christmas into a few days of '07 to Miami, or Vegas.

Nontheless everyday is a vacation, i live int he Poconos which is a Summer getaway spot, beautiful country settings, lakes and pools... So everday away from work is a little getaway.

Would really like to go to Greece, perhaps Mykonos, or even Ibiza Spain, or something, maybe Lake Como Italy, will see how thing work out this year, so far so good...

A month or two ago I was in Germany (Munich, Rottenburg and some other small towns), Austria (Salzburg), Italy (Caorli, Venice, Florence, Assisi, Rome, and Sorento), Greece (Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, Patmos, Rhodes, and Crete), and Turkey. Overall I was there for about a month and it was a blast, I think Germany or the Greek Isles were my favorite though.

The Greek island of Mykonos, is the best if you want lifestyle vacation. I think three or four years ago i was there and it costed me a fortune. Hotel, rented car, and entertainment. God that beach, super paradise, is a must visit...

Maybe once the heat simmers down a bit out East, it will be the place to go. Seems like a dream getaway.
