thats powerful, but thruthfully all those big bikes are... i used to run a ZX-12, and they are rediculous... my GSX-R 750 is out of control. Topped it at 184mph. Over 148hp off of the rear wheel.

I didn't get it at first but I guess that is because I'm Swede

I've always been into these kind of bikes, especially Suzuki's and the Hayabusa used to be my favourite bike but nowadays I don't care about supercruisers. GSX-R1000 is my current favourite bike, just love it!

A strange thing - I think one side of the four headlights is the low beam headlight, and the other, the high beam - so at night in normal conditions, it's 'lopsided'. Not sure about the position lights though.

The Hayabusa is faster than the ZX-12R, which, as mentioned in the article, was meant to be faster in theory but wasn't in reality. Therefore, I'll wait until actual performance figures come out before agreeing that this is the fastest production bike in the world.

Btw, yeah, it's ugly. Suzuki's big sportsbikes are much better, Honda's, too.

Insane, 200 hp for a motorcycle.
A great improvement in performance, too bad it can't be said about the ZX-14's looks.
In my opinion the whole bike is just by far not as good looking, clean and sleek as it's predecessor the ZX-12 it replaces.

My friend rides sport bikes (he rides a Honda 954RR), and he says Hayabusas and things like these are just sport bikes for fat people. I tend to agree that these things are better highway cruisers and better suited for light touring than sport riding as lighter and peakier bikes are. If I had my pick of any bike to ride (not that I would) from a performance standpoint, I'd probably pick up a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 even if I like how the Yamaha YZF-R1 looks a lot better.

My cousin drag races motorcycles in his spare time (real job he owns a big tire shop). His streetbike he's had for a long time is a ZX-12R.
