Last week i was caught doing 101 km/h (that's what the police instrument was showing) in a road where the limit is 60 km/h.

The police officer told me that he will write in the fine that i was doing 89 km/h otherwise he would had to take my driving licence for a couple of months. Lol...

I payed 35 euro or something and that was it.

No , sorry if i gave the wrong impression. They give you the speeding ticket and you have ten days to pay the fine (you can do that in a post office).

I was done for the first time last year... 131 km/h on a 100 km/h zone, resulting in 16 of our infamous day fines (1 day fine = 1/60 of your average monthly income). They'll give you 2 months time to pay.
The minimum speeding fine in Finland is 115 euros.

That's an interesting system MikeJ.

In Singapore, they'll close an eye if you're not speeding to the extreme... But there are, of course, inflexible speed cameras dotted all around the island for good measure.

Especially since there's no maximum fine. I think the record still stands at €170,000.
