My first impressions are pretty darn good, and that's saying something considering how picky I am when it comes to music. "Fade" somehow reminds me of The Pretenders mixed with The Police. All of which make for a definite positive.  Many thanks again. I'll be sure to further check her out. |

Blog Entries: 2 | Re: Female Music Artists Damn, how could I forget about Stevie Nicks and Heart?! Heart is awesome, especially "Barracuda". And one musn't forget about The Pretenders. This unplugged version of "Brass in Pocket" really showcases Chrissie's singing ability: Here's the original while we're at it: I also think Avril Lavigne has a wonderful voice. Especially on the lower ranges where her voice has a some sort of special sweetness to it. Though, I'm fully aware most cannot even fathom the idea of the words "good" and "Avril Lavigne" in the same sentence, I couldn't disagree more. I must admit though - that by and large - I'm not a great fan of her music style. Some of her music is just too, err... Well, we'll leave it at: "not a fan". That being said, I've always liked her song, "Nobody's Home". Especially this acoustic version: I'm also quite fond of Alanis Morissette's earlier stuff ("Jagged Little Pill" & "Supposed Infatuation Junkie") |
