![]() | At the Grindhouse hey people, I just came back from the movies. I saw Grindhouse and thought I'd share... Before I start I have to get this off: Rose McGowan is HOTTTTTTTTTT. Even though she is starting to show her age a bit ( especially around the eyes and mouth) but I say " damn that bitch is fine". If you know what to expect, then you wont be disappointed and this is what you get after watching the first "feature presentation" : Planet Terror. I watched it with smile on my face till the end. It's a movie that's intentionally badly done that it's hilarious. Kudo's to Rodrigez. In it's own right, it's a sarcastic take on those silly 80's low budget B movies...and boy was it fun to watch. The fake trailers in between the two movies were funny as hell. The Tarantino feature, I liked less. It features lots of dialog, most of which was unbearably boring. IMHO it was downright annoying and long winded. At some point it felt that he just wanted the audience to listen to the music he likes and thats simply childish and even offensive. It just didn't work, especially when you have a few dumb sounding girls badly trying to imitate Samuel L Jackson's role from Pulp Fiction ( there's even a mention about foot massage and it's completely out of context)... Bitch, please! In brief, the action sequence that follows isn't groundbreaking and does not makes up for what you have to sit through to get to it. I was going through some review, and I was surprised to find out that some preferred the Tarantino segment to the Rodriguez part. I didn't. I thought that the Tarantino bit actually ruined the entire thing. If I knew this before, I would have walked out after the fake trailers that came up after Planet Terror ended. But thats , "Just Me" hehe Do share your comment after you guys see this one, I'm pretty sure that opinions will vary. |
