I'm very unbiased when it comes to electronic and I foten buy the best I can't get for my bucks or the products which suits me best. The iPhone is being nothing but praised almost everywhere which is why we need people like me who isn't planning on selling his ipod and phone in order to be able to buy an iphone later this year. I'm just balancing this thread with my negative ciPhone critisms.

But in all fairness I've owned 4 PDA's, a Pocket PC 6600 which worked good for a while then keypad stopped working properly, then I traded it in for a Pocket PC 6700 which also worked good for a while until the alarm decided to go off when it chose rather than when I did, also once I would be connected to the internet it would chose to exit when it felt like it! I'm a vain loser and I know it but it makes me happy!![]()

![]() ![]() | Re: iPhone !!!!! Steve Jobs is so good at what he does.... I will be on the Apple Store site the day the iPhone hits the market...my Cingular contract on my RAZR runs out in September and if they won't cut me some slack for the new iPhone I will get it in September. I need a new iPod (I have a mini) and need a color screen to transfer photos to iTunes and then to use the Apple TV box so I can see them on my 50" HD screen. So the iPhone will fill the new iPod need and provide me a taste of what the cell industry will all be looking like in 5 years...Apple has done it again! One thing the critics have failed to mention is that with Apple products....they just work ![]() |

With the iPhone people will have to relearn how use the MacOS UI. People don't want to learn anything." Once the people realize how simple OSX is to operate...MS will own less of the Desktop market....:-))) Just a fact of life...try it you may like it. |

I work in an office full of execs who live and die by their Crackberrys and PDAs. Everybody who saw the demo of the iPhone were awed and full ready to toss their current smartphone in the trash.

So sure, it's a first for the Apple brand. But if you look at the phone's devlopment team, you'll find that the brains behind it are the creme de la creme of the mobile engineering world, and quite possibly are the same people who built the phones you and I own today.

Here are some interesting comments from the NY Times with hands-on experience with the iPhone: - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Of Interest: "Apple went through numerous iterations of the glass surface, trying to find one that’s not too slick or too rough, or that shows grease and fingerprints too much. You still get finger streaks, but they’re relatively subtle and a quick wipe on your sleeve takes care of them." "Typing is difficult. The letter keys are just pictures on the glass screen, so of course there’s no tactile feedback." |
