I sorry, but I am the only one not singing of the praises of this new phone!

IMO, it doesn't look amazing, and I hate the fact that there aren't real buttons, it's all touch screen, which will mean it will get all finger prints on, and just isn't as nice as buttons to use. Also a 2 megapixal camera isn't very amazing, laging a bit behind the times there!

Personally, I'd perfer to get something like the Nokia N95, and then get a nano as well!

well words say that screen is very resistant of prints..
i have the P990 no buttons..its perfect.. and this has a new input system..so it might be even better..

2mpixel is a bit weak..must agree.. but enough .. and personlly i dont take many pics..

2 devices..thats to much.. especially on the summer when you have less clothes and pockets..

I'm not so sure if I buy that, the current iPod and last generation nano aren't exactly the most scratch resistance, and finger print friendly devices!

I'm sure I'd get used to the touch screen after a while but seems weird at first. I'm sure that it will sell very well, being an Apple and that, wonder if it will spell the end for the Nano though, would be interesting to find out!

I hope this baby will come to Europe soon.

Could it be a perfect device for me. I like that UI. Apple is definitle the leader in this field.

I hope it can open various audio & video formats, and that mail attachments (eg. Word documents, PDF documents etc) can be opened.

Antivirus & firewall software included, or not?

Can programs be uploaded - like eg. Java games / programs, or like Symbian applications?



But I guess this is more casual than office device.

Supringly I'm not the only gadget over here but then again when Apple launch a product the news spread quicker than making paper air planes out of a 1 dollar bill.
So what do I think of the iPhone? Well it is sexy, thats for sure. Do I have feelings for it? No and here is the reason why. First of all I don't concider the iPhone to be a phone, it is really a PDA, okay? Beside the very attractive design and the Mac OS the iPhone really doesn't bring anything new to the table. There are several PDAs with phone functionality out there so this iPhone isn't revolutionary in any way.
Becasue it is an apple product many fan boys which order one eventhough the really don't need one. The ones who really need one already have a Tungsten PDA or similar bulging in their right pocket.
My other problem with it is the battery time. Becasue of size of the big and beautiful screen, not to mention the slim design of the iPhone battery time will off course be an issue. 5 hours playback time is really very little. Play a java game, listen to an album twise, call one or two girls and talk for 2 hours and the battery will be dead as Sadam.
