| Re: iPhone !!!!! Now that we've entered the era of the uberphone, products that have features, specs and form factor similar to the iPhone will be sprouting up like weeds. The technology is out there, so just like camera phones and ultra-slims, touch-screen marvels will be common place virtually overnight - and virtually each one will be dubbed "the iPhone killer" or something to that extent. Some will blow it away on value, others will blow it away with larger storage capicity, some will have more robust media player abilities and will be more customizable. It remains to be seen weather or not the iPhone can magage to become the "de facto uberphone" the way the iPod has managed to become the de facto portable music player for the masses. If Apple's launch is a smash (all indicators point to "yes") and the iPhone is able to remain a sensation outside of the affluent, early-adoper crowd, all the features and wow factor on the world won't make a dent in Apple's franchise. It won't matter. You'll be sitting there with your LG Prada KE850, somebody will come over to you... + "Cool, is that an iPhone?" • "No, it's an LG Prada" + "Oh, alright. I guess that's neat." Apple is entering uncharted waters here, so their success is anything but guaranteed. At the end of the day, if Apple is able to follow through on their promise of a consummately superior phone OS, I think they have this in the bag. |

| Re: iPhone !!!!! Multi touch interfaces is the future and like Josh said touch-screen cell phones is going to be "the shit". After the iPhone is launched nobody will want to buy a 400-600 dollar phone which doesn't have a touch screen. |
