All oldtimers Jack. Whatever, my pops drives an MB, as does my uncle and host of other relatives and freinds, etc. But they didn't buy an MB because they were extactic about how the car drove, but wanted something "nice" and the brand name is associated more loosely w/ that term more so than any other automotive brand that is within financial reach of the majority of mortals.

Thats funny Matt, because Mercedes sales have been dropping as Lexus sales have been rising. Hence Jack, the reason why Lexus is doing so well.

Hey Jack, What are Baby Boomers looking for in a car? Well Matt, they want reliabilty, safety, and value. Hey Jack did you know Lexus offers all of those. Mercedes only offers one. So if loyal Mercedes Customers (old baby boomers) are looking for those in a car, I think they may find themselves in a Lexus dealer, dont you???

Re: My Thoughts on Mercedes Benz

If only Lexus has truly physically attractive cars, then they'd be a real threat to BMW. Eh, even then, not really.

Oh brother....

MB may have had a bad year or two but Dieter will return the 3 Pointed Star in spades. The 3 Pointed Star is "The Force" Matt (or it is Luke) and Dieter knows how to use The Force, unlike his predecessor. Anyone who switches to a Lexus from a MB usually does it because they have reached their limit financially and need a copy for less money...I think they call them knockoffs...LOL

Nevertheless, They are no match for the Dark Side! (cough, BMW cough).
I dont know about Dieter though we'll see how he does. I'm still not convinced he's fixed Chrysler.

Or they are just sick of their cars being serviced 50 percent of the time... it could happen to all 3 of the German car companies. If their cars don't work properly, then there's no reason why they wouldn't go to Lexus.
