Mercedes shows GL and E class with BLUETEC technology - Page 2

Isn't BLUETEC some kind of additive or is it a mechanical feature the V6 has?

i think its a fluid.. that has something to do with the cleaning process of the diesel exhausts..
The fluid get filled every other service at no cost.. so its just to drive and have fun.. no cost at all
ohh and i guess these will be classed as inviroment friendly cars.. and in sweden there is alot of good things with such a car.. like no tax the firt 2 or 3 years i think.. and free parking in the city.. and when you pay tax its lower.. and on top of that you have the good fuel economy and the better resale value.. so this far it sounds lika a win win situation..

Its nice to see MB still leading the field in some areas.

And wow, that GL actually looks pretty nice. Thanks for the pic Merc 1.

If MB were to begin offering that paint finish ASAP, it would be such a big selling point.

This BLUETEC technology sounds great, I wonder if the G class will get it - to help clean up it's reputation

BTW, I remember saying way back when we were discussing the GL's spy pics and several people hated it, that you guys would come round eventually and start to really like it - the G class will inevitably be discontinued once this new model starts to "take-off" - I have a feeling it's going to be a huge seller in the US.

Yeah I often post too soon after seeing a new design. It was sort of a knee jerk reaction. Though I still don't think it looks perfect and the interior leaves a lot to be desired, I do think it has some potential now.
