Mercedes-Benz Quiz # 6

ANSWERS

1) Australia (C): The 560SL was originally produced for the North American market, but MB also saw potential for the car in Australia and the car was also sold in this country. Japan also received 560SL's in either LHD or RHD.

2) 240D 3.0 (B): NOBODY GOT THIS QUESTION CORRECT! The W114/W115 E-Class had no 300D option. There was only the 200D, 220D, 240D and the 240D 3.0. Only when the W123 E-Class came was the name "300D" officially coined.

3) Parktronic (A)

4) 280S (B): The W116 S-Class range was as follows: 280S, 280SE (SEL), 350SE (SEL), 450SE (SEL), 450SEL 6.9 and 300SD Turbodiesel (LWB). The 260SE and 280SE were W126 S-Classes.

5) FALSE (B): The W116 300SD Turbodiesel was only sold in North America. There was no major market for diesel S-Classes in 1970s and 1980s Europe, yet.
